Entrepreneurs have been described as people who plays significant roles in the growth of the Economy of any Country.
Kogi State Coordinator, Global Entrepreneurship Network Nigeria (GENN), Latifah Aspitah Isah, made the assertion at a Market Place Event in Lokoja, the State Capital to commemorate the 2022 Global Entrepreneurship Week Celebration.
The Kogi-born Business Development Service Provider said GENN in collaboration with Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan Atlantic University, organized the market place event to enlighten participants and as well, celebrate Entrepreneurs for their contributions to economic growth.
“Every third week of November is marked as Global Entrepreneurship Week and it’s important for Entrepreneurs to celebrate themselves because they contribute massively to the Economy
“Without Entrepreneurs, we cannot have a robust economy, the government alone cannot employ everybody, Entrepreneurs create jobs, add value, solve problems in the society, they are doing a lot” she said.
She appreciated partners: EDC-PAU, and LaDeeva, describing their partnership as a morale boost.
The Chief Executive Officer of Aspitah Global Resources Limited explained that the access to market event also created opportunity for Entrepreneurs to sell their products and exchange contacts for future businesses, describing the event as a huge success.
She said it also creates more room for Youths financial freedom as entrepreneurs are opportune
Latifah Aspitah stressed that the role of networking in the business world cannot be overemphasized, calling on entrepreneurs at the event to keep such to heart to better their lots.
While affirming that Entrepreneurship comes with its challenges, she however asserted that it also creates more room for Youths financial freedom as Entrepreneurs are opportune to decide how much they can earn per annum as against civil service where such is decided by the employer.
In an address, the Chairman, Sesame Seed Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Damisa Suleiman, commended the women Entrepreneurs at the event for their efforts at promoting Entrepreneurship in the Confluence State.
Alhaji Damisa commended the organizer for her efforts at putting the program together, describing it as a welcomed initiative.
As part of efforts at supporting, he promised Latifah Aspitah Isah of a free stand at the upcoming first made in Kogi State trade fair and Exhibition to be hosted soon in the State.
The Chairman pointed out that Entrepreneurs in the State are talented in their various fields of endeavors, stressing that the products displayed at the event are worthy to be packaged and exported to other Countries of the World.
Highlight of the event was the inspection of the various products displayed by the Entrepreneurs by the dignitaries and Cash presentation to the winner of a Pitch Competition at the event.
Latifah Aspitah Isah also offered FREE Business Development Services to Kogi Youths during the program.
