Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, the people of Nasarawa State have been called upon to shun violence and work as a family.
A Former Governorship Aspirant in the State, His Excellency, Comrade Abubakar Yusuf Doma Denja, made the call at a One Day Awareness Workshop & Sensitization on the Dangers of Drug Abuse, Youth Restiveness, Effect of Political Apathy in an Electoral Process in Nasarawa, which was held at the Abacha Centre, Lafia.
Comrade Denja said the need to ensure peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the 2023 General Elections cannot be overemphasized, stressing a violence-free election is needed for a progressive society.
He expressed over the success of the event targeted at disabusing the minds of the youths from indulging in the intake of hard substance and the need for the people to participate fully in the 2023 General Elections.
“I lack words to appreciate Allah over the success of today’s program, I also want to commend the people of Nasarawa State for their large turn out
“This program was all encompassing, it wasn’t limited to APC alone, I personally took invitation letter to PDP, NNPP, and other Political Parties in Nasarawa State, we all must come together as one and sustain the existing peace in our dear State
“Election is not war, it’s not a do or die affair so let’s keep the bond of brotherhood, Unity and love at all times and let’s work together for a greater and better Nasarawa State” he said.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth General Commander, explained that the 2023 General Elections will solely depend on electing credible, intelligent, purposeful, committed, humble and unbiased Candidates into positions of power, calling on the various Candidates to continue to carry everyone along in the scheme of things.

The Sarkin Yakin Nans praised the State Governor, Engr. Sule for being a detribalized leader with the interest of the people and the progress of the State at all times.
The Program was organized by Youth Revival Mission for Social Development in collaboration with Nasarawa State Government, and was held at the Abacha Youth Centre, Shendam Road, Lafia, Nasarawa State.
