Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has again assured Nigerians that the party’s presidential candidate and his running mate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, will end hunger, poverty and insecurity in Nigeria.
He made the promise on Sunday at his Osubi residence in Okpe Local Government Area, when leaders of 120 support groups paid solidarity visit, saying that Nigerians have come to the realisation that PDP is the only party with good agenda that would rebuild the country, rescue her from the insecurity and socioeconomic problems created by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He said his M.O.R.E agenda was deliberately crafted to boost meaningful development, opportunity for all, realistic reforms and enhanced peace and security, noting that governor Okowa has done excellently well through result oriented policies and programmes.
Oborevwori appealed to the groups to work very hard for the victory of PDP and it’s candidates by educating the electorates on the party’s agenda for Nigeria at federal and state levels, while urging them to vote Atiku-Okowa for President, Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor.
“We must all work together in peace and harmony to deliver our candidates across board. Our governor has done well, but I will listen more, do more and achieve more,” Oborevwori said.
Chairman of Delta South/Central PDP Support Groups, Mr Tola Ajimisogbe, said they have been informed in the total Sheriffication of the state, stating that their support for his candidacy is borne out of his love for the people, competence, humility and transparency over the years haven served the state in various capacity.
He disclosed that the groups have resolved to intensity door to door, person to person, market to market campaigns to mobilize eligible voters to vote Atiku-Okowa for President, Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor and all candidates of PDP in Delta State.
“We believe in your ability and capacity to do more for Deltans, because you have been there for us, especially for indigent students and the needy that you are sponsoring in different schools and at different levels.
“We pray God to grant you good health, wisdom and the needed resources to succeed in all your endeavours and we shall attend your swearing in ceremony on May 29, 2033 by the grace of God,” the group prayed.
Executive Assistant on Communications to the Vice Presidential Candidate of PDP and Assistant Deputy Director of media and publicity, Delta PDP Campaign Council Management Committee, Chief Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe joined the governorship to receive the PDP political pressure groups at his residence.
