…Urges electorates to vote Atiku-Okowa.
Immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan on Saturday paid a visit on the incoming governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori at his private residence in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area of the state.
Uduaghan who was accompanied by some political leaders of Delta South Senatorial District, including the Senatorial candidate, Hon Evangelist Michael Diden aka Ejele and Hon Nicholas Mutu, said his visit was to demonstrate his genuine support for Oborevwori, who he described as “the incoming governor of the State.”
He noted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has done well by fielding competent and popular candidates, saying that his endorsement of Oborevwori was also commended by former governor James Onanefe Ibori, while predicting that Chief Ibori may soon publicly declare his position.
He emphasized the need for Deltans to support the presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, pointing out that Delta has been favoured by God to produce the next Vice President of Nigeria, come 2023.
“I want to state categorically that my endorsement of Oborevwori was and still a personal decision. I was never influenced by anybody.
“I urge us to accept God’s wish for our state by mobilizing eligible voters for the landslide victory of PDP, Oborevwori and other candidates in 2023,” Uduaghan said.
He said his candidacy has been generally accepted and massively supported by Deltans across the three senstorial districts, adding that his M.O.R.E agenda will advance Delta by building on the enviable achievements of Okowa administration.
