Kogi State Carpentry and Joinery Union Holds End of the Year Get-Together in Lokoja

Charges Members to be Prudent in their Dealings with Customers

The Kogi State Chapter of the Carpentry and Joinery Union has held her End of the Year Get-Together Celebration in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital with a charge to members to be fair in their dealings with the public.

The program, held along Kpata Road, saw the jubilant members of the Association dressed uniformly and danced to the good tunes of the music played by the Disc Joker (DJ) at the event.

Speaking, the Central Chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the Carpentry and Joinery Union, Ali Maiyaki, expressed happiness over the success of the 2022 End of the year Get-Together of the Association in the State.

Maiyaki noted that the event afford them opportunity to meet, interact and as well, celebrate together for seeing the end of another year, describing the gathering as unique.

He appreciated Members of the Union for their corporation so far, assuring them of the commitment of the Executives of the Association in the State at providing purposeful leadership to all members.

Ali Maiyaki enjoined Carpenters operating in the State without being members of the Association to quickly pick their membership forms, saying that the Association will soon start fishing out quacks in the profession.

The Kogi State Central Chairman of the Union called on the members to remain peaceful and sincere in their dealings with customers, stressing that good deeds attracts more customers.

Also speaking, the State Vice Chairman of the Association, Adewale Johnson, popularly called “WASCO”, enjoined the Members of the Association to remain their brother keepers at all times.

WASCO advised the younger ones in the Profession to maintain the standard of the Profession to enable them earn respect in the society.

He pointed out that valuing works before charging customers was important, explaining that some of the challenges usually encountered with Customers emanates from such issues.

Highlight of the event include donation and dance by members of the Association.

The Carpentry and Joinery Union with the Motto: AFACAN Shelter, is a body that regulates the activities of Carpenters in Nigeria of which the Kogi State Chapter, is a registered Member.
