Kofa Football Club of Toto were crowned champions of the 3rd edition of the Maikaya Development Foundation Football Competition after defeating Shafa Abakpa Football Club two-nill in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The match was a beauty to behold as the two teams showcased skills to the admiration of all.
An early goal by Kofa FC was enough to place Shafa FC players on their toes who fought tooth and nails to level up but to no avail.

The Toto team on the other hand also struggled to add up but were disallowed by the super defenders of their opponent, thus, bringing the game to One-Nill in the first half.
The second half of the encounter started on a good footing as both teams were battle ready to increase their gains.

Kofa FC, a team whose ultimate goal is focused on lifting the trophy of the 3rd Edition of the Maikaya Development Foundation Football Competition, doubled her lot through a second goal.
All efforts of Shafa Abakpa FC players to bounce back proved abortive as the Central Referee blew the final whistle stoppage time.
Jubilation erupt in the Camp of supporters of the Kofa Football Club of Toto who in their numbers trooped to field to celebrate the victory through songs and show of excitement.
Speaking after the match, the Founder of Maikaya Development Foundation, Alhaji Muhammed Musa Maikaya, commended all teams that took part in the competition.
Alhaji Maikaya said the competition was organized to enable youths who are talented on the round leather games showcase their talents and as well, engage them in meaningful ventures during the festive season.
Going forward, the Former Nasarawa State Governorship Aspirant promised to improve on the Organization of the competition, adding that more would be done by the Foundation in the days ahead.
Dignitaries, including the Representative of the State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, Commissioners, among others, attended the finals of the competition.
Highlight of the event include Presentation of trophies, Medals, Cultural display, amongst others.
