The Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Council of Kogi State, Hon. Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh, has presented the 2023 Budget Appropriation Bill of over two Billion Naira to the Council at the Council Chamber in Abejukolo, headquarters of the Area.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Suleiman Alih, explained that Chief Aboh tagged the budget estimate as; “Budget of Consolidation”.
The Chairman appreciated the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for giving him the opportunity to serve the good people of Omala.

He called on the Council to prioritize the concern of the people in the course of their speedy deliberation and consideration of the Bill.
Breakdown of the budget:
•Recurrent Expenditure – #1,332,462,600 (One billion, there hundred and thirty two million, four hundred and sixty two thousand, six hundred naira only)
•Capital Expenditure – #777,287,900 (seven hundred and seventy seven million, two hundred and eighty seven thousand, nine hundred naira only).
•Total = #2,109,750,500 (Two billion, one hundred and nine million, seven hundred and fifty thousand, five hundred naira only).
The Vice Chairman of the Local Government, the DLG, Treasurer, Heads of Department, Supervisory Councillors, the Local Government NULGE Chairman, Members of staff, SSAs to the Executive Chairman, Civil Society Organizations, members of the fourth estate of the realm, other concerned stakeholders, among others, were present during the budget presentation which was conducted on 3rd January, 2023.
