Death has occured of Hon. Mathew Akawu, a 2023 House of Assembly Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party – PDP for Pengana State Constituency in Plateau State.
According to a source, Late Hon. Matthew Akawu died in a hospital at the early hours of Friday, 6th January 2023, following a brief illness.
Reacting to the news of his death, a supporter of the PDP in the State, Fahad Isa, in a condolence message, wrote: “I am saddened by the news of the death of Hon. Mathew Akawu, the PDP flag bearer representing Pengana Constituency to Plateau State House of Assembly come 2023
“May God look into his side and grant him mercy till we meet to path more. May God also comfort his family and supporters, amen!”
Report says, the deceased, Late Hon. Matthew Akawu, until his death, was a man who is given to humanitarian services and one committed to repositioning the Constituency for good.
