A former Governorship Aspirant in Nasarawa State, Comr. Abubakar Yusuf Doma, has called on Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, to intervene in the ongoing issues facing Nigerians with the switch from the old to use of new currencies.
In a Video Clip, the Youth General Commander said the need for Mr. President to call the Central Bank of Nigeria to extend the deadline cannot be overemphasized, saying that the Banking and other financial Institutions are yet to comply fully with the directive, hence making things difficult for the masses to access the new currency.
“Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, I, Comr. Abubakar Yusuf Doma (sarkin yaki Nans), the Youth General Commander, use this medium to appeal to your Excellency for the extension of time limit at which old currency in the Country shall seize to exist
“We are adequately aware of your good intentions of rebranding the Nation’s Currency by redesigning/printing new ones
“Mr. President, we know, you’re a listening leader that stands for the masses. Till this moment, it is the old currency that are transacted at banks, at POS units, at ATM points, old currencies at other Financial Institutions
“This is why we are making this request. Please intervene” he said.
