The Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area, Hon. Adejoh Friday Nicodemus, have been commended for his proactive measures in tackling insecurity in the Area.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Area, Paulinus Idenyi, gave the commendation after a Tour to Kidnappers hideout at Egane, the boundary between Ofu LGA and Olamaboro through to Ogugu.
The Commendation was contained in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman on Media, Publicity and Strategies, Comr. Okone Samuel (Okoncy).

Idenyi explained that the commendation was on the heels of the Chairman’s track record over the years in handling insecurity in the Area.
The DPO noted that before development is the security of lives and property of the people, saying that Hon. Adejoh has prioritized the security of the people of the Area.
While commending the people for their cooperation so far, Idenyi promised that the Nigerian Police Force and other Security Agents in the Area will continue to discharge their responsibilities effectively.
Responding, the Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area, Hon. Adejoh Friday Nicodemus, said he will not leave any stone on turned at weeding out perpetrators of crimes in the Area.
The Local Government Boss noted that he will continue to work in line with the efforts of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the fight against insecurity to yield positive results at the Grassroots.
“We will not give up until peace is restored in our land” he assured.
So far, the Olamaboro Local Government Area Executive Chairman had received the OUTSTANDING SECURITY CHAIRMAN AWARD presented to him by the Kogi East Commander of the Nigeria Navy.

Similarly, the Ankpa Zonal Police Command presented AWARD OF MERIT to the Executive Chairman for supporting and providing strategic information to the Police, aiding their operations in the Area.
The Council Boss had donated 5 Vehicles to security Agencies in the Area, including the Police, the Neighbourhood Watch, the Vigilante, amongst others to ease their operations and ensure quick response to security issues.
