As Kogi State people prepares for the primaries election of the All Progressives Congress, APC, slated for April this year, a frontline grassroot politician, an award. Winning philanthropist and Minister in the vineyard of God, Pastor Innocent Ihiovi has declared his intention to run for the state governorship election.
Pastor Innocent Ihiovi’s declaration and subsequent picking his nomination forms was coming after Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, gave a direction and released of electoral process timetable.
Ihiovi who declared for kogi governorship race promised to better the lots of Kogites if given the mandate. He said as a Kogite he knew the nooks and crannies of the State, even as he assured of changing the narrative in areas of Agriculture, infrastructure, education, health, security and human capital development.
The Man of God cum political heavyweight sought the support of APC delegates to nominate him in upcoming party’s primaries to enable him consolidate on already achieved dividends of the party in the State.
” I will do my best to guarantee good governance, security, education, health and infrastructure for all kogites, religion and ethnicity shall not be the basis of my aspiration”.
The man of God while declaring his intent for the forthcoming kogi state 2023 governorship race expressed confidence that he will win and work for his people.
“Today, I have made my intention known to govern Kogi State with sincerity and honesty, I shall be the Governor for all and one that will stand in front to lead my people to the expected promised land”. He stated.
He charged party members and supporters to keep faith with the party and rally around his candidacy peacefully and in accordance with rules and regulations as enshrine in the electoral act 2022 so that they won’t be found wanton.
“I’m committed, determined and has the capacity to boost kogi economy. I will sustain massive development, fight in security and empower my people if I got the mandate.”
Pastor Innocent Ihiovi is a native of Ebira from Okehi local government area central district of the State and pledged to make life more meaningful for kogites.
He also received some decampees from People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Labour Party, (LP), Social Democratic Party, (SDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) and other political parties in the State who believed in his political ideology and promised to canvassed support for his ambition.
Other stakeholders and party’s stalwarts assured him during his declaration after he picked nomination and expression of intent forms for the gubernatorial primary slated for April this year.
