The Esu of Bwari chiefdom in the FCT, His Royal Highness (HRH) Ibrahim Yaro, has assured senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda representing the FCT that he and all the district and community leaders as well as his subjects of their support and the house of representative member for AMAC /Bwari constituency Micah Jiba during the Saturday, February, 25, 2023 election in the area.
Yaro, who stated this when he received the campaign team of Senator Aduda, led the party’s campaign director general in the FCT, Mr Ezikel Dalhatu Musa at his palace on on Tuesday, also assured Aduda that he will mobilize his people to ensure they vote the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa.
He said senator Aduda and the incumbent house of representative member for AMAC /Bwari constituency Micah Jiba are not strangers in his palace, while reassuring his palace support to senator Aduda and other PDP candidates at the polls.
The monarch, however, informed Aduda that his district heads were facing some challenges especially increment of their monthly salary, saying the district head have been discharging their duties diligently.
He, therefore, appealed to the senator to intervene on the abandoned deplorable Bwari – Kawu road, which he said has been nightmare to people of the area.
Responding, Senator Aduda, appreciated the Esu of Bwari chiefdom and members of his traditional council as well as his subjects for their continues support to him.
He told the monarch that he was also worried over the abandoned Bwari – Kawu road, even as he said the road project was awarded during the PDP administration, saying the APC who took over since 2015 ought to have completed the road project.
He told the monarch that he has already directed the authorities of Bwari area council under the leadership of John Gabaya to mobilize contractors back to site as from next week in order to commence work on the road.
On his part, the FCT Director General (DG for Atiku Abubakar PDP presidential campaign, Mr Ezikel Dalhatu Musa, urged people of the area to ensure they vote for the PDP candidates during the Saturday, election in the area.
He said the decision of some to vote for labour party on election day would only give APC upper hand, while advising them to vote for all PDP candidates for the betterment of the good people FCT.
