The senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda representing the FCT has distributed 55 brand new motorcycles to district heads and village chiefs in Bwari area council of FCT.
Aduda, while handing over keys and particulars of the motorcycle to the beneficiaries at the official house of Bwari area council chairman on Tuesday, said the gesture was aimed at giving them a sense of belonging.
He said his desire to distribute the motorcycles was also to facilitate the movement of the district head and village chiefs in discharging their duties without any hitches.
He assured them of his continuous support, even as he urged them to be security conscious especially during the Saturday election, saying they should report any suspicious persons to security agents.
He, however, solicited the support of the traditional rulers across Bwari chiefdom, saying he will replicate on good things especially provision of social amenities i the area.
Speaking on behalf of the district heads, the village chief of Jigo, Musa Iyah, appreciated Senator Aduda for identifying with them through providing motorcycles to them.
He said the provision of the motorcycle will ease their movement especially those at rural communities, even as he assured Senator Aduda of their support during the Saturday election.
“In fact, we are indeed overwhelmed with the support of his distinguished senator Phillip Aduda for his kind gesture, as we are assure you of our full support in this Saturday, election,” he said.
