…Says GYB Runs Women Inclusive Govt.

A support Group of the governing All Progressives Congress known as APC Professional Women, has held a THANK YOU ROAD WALK in Kogi Central Senatorial District to appreciate electorate for voting massively for the Presidential and Senatorial Candidates of the Party in the just concluded General Elections.
The women, dressed in various APC Regalia, staged the Walk from the Secretariat of Okene Local Government Area through the new Reference Hospital to the Popular Total Junction in Okene before heading back to the starting point.

They jubilated over the victory of the President Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Elect, Sen. Kashim Shettima and the Senator Elect for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Engr. Sadiq Abubakar Ohere.
The State Coordinator of APC Professional Women Council, Hajia Rekiya Onaivo Sanni, said the Road Walk was to appreciate God for the peaceful conduct of the General Elections in the Area and to also celebrate the Party’s overwhelming victory.
Hajiya Onaivo Sanni explained that women plays great role in every political season, hence the need to celebrate with them for their large turn out despite all odds to cast their votes for the Candidates of the APC at the recently concluded General Elections.

The Coordinator congratulated the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, saying that his efforts at ensuring the unity of Party members at all times has again yielded positive results through the Party’s victory.
On assertions making the rounds that Governor Bello was not giving women opportunity to taste leadership Position, the Coordinator described such as lies drawn from the pit of hell to discredit the Governor‘s efforts in such regards.
She explained that under the leadership of Governor Bello, over 120 Women are currently holding various Leadership positions, stressing that the WHITE LION has been serving as a pacesetter as regards women inclusion in governance.

The Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director, Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA), called on Nigerians to see such accusation as baseless, adding that the Governor‘s efforts at bringing women on board in his administration is second to none.
“Come to Kogi State, the Secretary to the State Government is a Woman, Head of Service is a woman, the Governor‘s ADC is a Woman, we have women as Directors and Heads of various Agencies in Kogi State
“Vice chairmen of the 21 Local Government Areas in the State are all women, Governor Bello has Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and many more that are all women so whoever is saying Governor doesn’t want women to be a leader will need to have a rethink” she said.
The KEDA Boss appreciated the women for their large turnout to the THANK YOU ROAD WALK, assuring that their efforts will not be in vain.
On her part, the Zonal Coordinator – Central of the APC Professional Women Council, Hajiya Bilqis Inya Oiza Ozi Okuku, said the victory of the APC at the Presidential, Senatorial and National Assemblies Elections brought joy and smiles to the faces of Members of the Party hence the need to celebrate it.

Hon. Bilqis said the Road Walk was to also appreciate Governor Bello for giving the people Credible Candidates that will represent the interest of the people.
She commended Kogi Central women for coming out en masse to cast their votes for the Candidates of the APC at the polls, saying that the prayers of women for the Governor and the State at large was yielding positive results.
Hajiya Bilqis Inya Oiza Ozi Okuku, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bello on Grassroots Sensitization, affirms that the Governor has given opportunity to women than any administration in the State in view of the numbers of women in the Governor‘s Cabinet.
She assured of their support at all times to the Governor Bello led administration in the State and prayed God to grant the Governor greater success in the days ahead.
Others in their remarks expressed joy over the Party’s victory, adding that they will also vote for candidates of the APC at the House of Assembly Contestant slated for Saturday, 11th March 2023.
