…Commends Gov. Bello’s Giant Strides in the College

Vice Chairman, Ebira Area Traditional Council Visits College of Nursing/Midwifery Obangede

It was a moment of showers of encomium on Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello as the Vice Chairman, Ebira Area Traditional Council, HRH Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, tour the State College of Nursing and Midwifery Obangede.

 

Received by the Provost of the College, Mrs. Hannah Abraham and the management team, the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi was accompanied by other Chiefs and Kingmakers from the Area.

Seeing the rapid development that has taken place in the College, the Vice Chairman of Ebira Area Traditional Council, expressed delight over the improvement that has taken place in the Institution within a short period and commended Governor Bello for according attention to the growth of Education in the State.

He pointed out that he visited the College in his capacity as the Vice Chairman, Ebira Area Traditional Council, saying that he was on the site visit to see things for himself.

The Traditional Ruler said the massive projects that have been completed with some still ongoing, deserves Commendation, describing Governor Bello as a man whose commitment towards ensuring better future for the young ones, is second to none.

He explained that when the young ones are educated, it goes a long way at eradicating social vices in the society, stressing that the products of the Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery will also go a long way at improving the health of the people in the society.

The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi who is also the Patron, Council of Ulama’u of Nigerian – Kogi Central, commended the efforts of the Institution’s management at carrying out their responsibilities, calling on them to sustain such tempo.

He enjoined the Institution to take ownership of the already completed projects, describing them as legacy projects in view of their durability.

On her part, the Provost, Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery Obangede, Mrs. Hannah Abraham, appreciated the Traditional Ruler for his visit, describing it as a morale boost and a sign of better things to come.

Mrs. Abraham explained that the Governor Yahaya Bello led-administration in the State has given the Institution a facelift, stressing that the College now wears a new look with several projects still ongoing.

She appreciated the Governor for extending his good gesture to the College, stressing that the Institution remain eternally grateful.

Like Oliver Twist, the Provost appealed to the Governor and other well-to-do individuals to assist the College carryout other projects that are of great importance for more development of the Institution.

The Vice Chairman of Ebira Area Traditional Council and his entourage, tour the Projects in the Institution, including the Hostel, that is almost completed.

The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi also visited Some Media Organizations in the Central Senatorial District where he pleaded with well-to-do individuals from Kogi Central to rally round the management of the Nigeria Television Authority NTA Okene, that has been off air for almost four months due to some malfunctioning equipment.

He said information is power, stressing that when the Station comes on air again, the locals will be well informed.

HRH Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, also visited Jatto FM, where he praised Edward Jatto for his commitment towards informing, educating and entertaining the people and prayed to God to elevate him.

He also visited Radio Kogi Okene-eba and praised the State Government for her efforts.
