The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Member-elect for the Kogi State House of Assembly – Bassa State Constituency, Hon. Sunday Daku, has promised to live up to expectations in the discharge of his duties.
In a telephone interview with a Correspondent of the Intelligence News, Hon. Daku appreciated the people of Bassa land for the confidence reposed in him by voting him into power to serve them.
He explained that their show of love through his victory was a call to service, saying that above the celebration and Jubilation of his emergence, it was time for good legislative business that will take the Constituency to greater heights.
The Former Kogi State Director of Sports, appreciated God for His mercies that saw him through the whole process, stressing that he will change the old narratives of representation in the days ahead.
“To God be the Glory! God destined it and He has made it a reality. My prayer is for Him to give me the enablement to serve my people well
“I say a big thank you to the electorate in Bassa land for finding me worthy to serve, I promise to serve my people better and represent their interest well” he promised.
After a rigorous contest, the Interdependent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared Hon. Sunday Daku of the PDP winner of the House of Assembly elections for Bassa State Constituency after polling a total of 8,360 votes to defeat his closest rival of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate, who scored 7,078 Votes at the polls.
