“More Than Any Governor Before Him, GYB Has Shown Capacity To Neutralise Ethnic And Religious Sentiments” – Fanwo Replies Noise Makers

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello

GYB wasn’t a tribal leader when he wanted him to be Senate President, a position that is higher than Governorship. GYB wasn’t a tribal leader when he begged the Kogi West people to support his Senatorial bid.

We won’t get what we want always. When we get it, we should be grateful to the system. When we don’t get it, we should trust the system and the process.

GYB, more than any Governor before him has shown capacity to neutralise ethnic and religious sentiments. This is one of his legacies that is not below the standard of any.

The Kogi we have today is one of unity and focus. No one can use ethnicity as an access card for anything anymore. Come forward with capacity.
We won’t listen to the noise!

Fanwo’s comment came after a Governorship Aspirant and sitting Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi, after scaling through the Governorship Screening Committee, advised Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello not to be tribalistic while throwing his weight behind an aspirant.

In his words, He said: “Democracy is all about the people. And I want to appeal to Governor Yahaya Bello, who tried to be a statesman in the way he has done his appointment. But what will define Yahaya Adoza Bello’s administration is the courage to which he eventually decides whom he gives his support to. He should not allow people to turn him into a tribal leader”.
