The Youth Wing of the Progressive Volunteers for Good Governance, has congratulated the All Progressives Congress – APC Governorship Candidate for the November Elections, Hon. Usman Ododo on his victory at the Primaries of the Party.

In a Congratulatory Message, the Youth Wing of the Group noted that Ododo’s victory is not far fetched from his keen commitment and dedication to serving humanity.

The Group also said his outstanding performance since the inception of the Governor Yahaya Bello led administration in the State has been commendable, describing his victory as well deserved.

The Youth Wing of the Progressive Volunteers for Good Governance however urge him to be magnanimous in victory by strengthening bond of unity with other aspirants, stakeholders and youth in the State to enable him form a formidable team that will consolidate on the vast achievements of Governor Bello.

The Youth Wing of the Group promised her readiness to work with Hon. Ododo in the task ahead, adding that they will mobilize across the length and breath of the State for his victory in the November 2023 Governorship Elections in the State.

The Secretary of the Primary Elections Committee for Kogi State, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, on behalf of the Chairman, Gov. Bello Matawale, declared Hon. Ododo, winner, haven secured the majority of lawful votes of 78,704 in the Governorship Primary Election which took place on Friday, 14th April, 2023 across Kogi State.

Ododo defeated other Aspirants, including Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu (a son of the Former Governor of the State – Late Prince Abubakar Audu), the incumbent Senator representing Kogi West – Smart Adeyemi, Dr. Sanusi Ohiare, Stephen Ikani Ocheni, Abubakar Yahaya Achimugu and Salami Momodu Ozigi (DEEDAT), to clinch the Party’s Ticket.
