The All Progressives Congress – APC Governorship Candidate for the November Governorship Election in Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has been described as an exceptional leader with foresight towards taking the State to enviable heights.
The Treasurer of Kogi Local Government Area, Abdullahi Yusuf Ohikura, made the assertion in an interview with our Correspondent after the Official announcement of Ododo’s Candidacy at the President Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja.
He noted that Alhaji Ododo has been carrying everyone along in the scheme of things irrespective of tribe and religion, assuring that he will foster unity among the people of the State.
“I am not surprised that Alhaji Ododo emerge as the Flag bearer of APC for the November Governorship Election because two years ago, we made prediction that one day, he will become the Governor of Kogi State
“Alhamdullilah! Today we are glad that his journey to the Lugard House has started and we know, Allah will grant him victory going into the elections proper
“Alhaji Ododo is a detribalised personality, he is exceptional in his dealings, he’s a humble leader and he will take the State to greater heights Insha’Allah” Ohikura said.
He prayed God to grant Ododo success in the November Governorship Election in the State and also called on all sons and daughters of voting age in the State, to rally round him through their votes.
Out of Seven (7) aspirants, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo was announced winner of the APC Governorship Primaries which took place on Friday, 14th April 2023, haven garnered a total of 78,704 votes to defeat other aspirants.
