A Group in Kogi State, LIKE MINDS, has again reassured of her commitment towards seeing to the emergence of the Candidate of the African Democratic Congress – ADC, Hon. Leke Abejide as the next Governor of the State.
At a well attended meeting of the Group in Obajana, Members of the LIKE MINDS from the Central, Eastern and Western Senatorial Districts, noted that aside calls for zoning, Hon. Leke is well equipped, better prepared and more informed to take over the leadership of the State in the November 11th 2023 Governorship Election in the State.
Chairman of LIKE MINDS, Chief Richard Asaje, said the quest of ensuring the emergence of Hon. Leke as the next Governor of Kogi State is a collective responsibility, stressing that it was time the Western Senatorial District takes over the leadership of the State.

Chief Asaje pointed out the Group has her Members spread across the length and breath of the State, explaining that the Group has been able to produce 11 Members that made up the Cabinet of the present administration and was also instrumental to the emergence of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the Governor of the State.
While appreciating those who out of their tight schedules, made it to the meeting, Chief Asaje encouraged them to take the message of Leke Abejide to the nooks and crannies of their various places and preach the need for them to support Hon. Leke.
The elder statesman narrated that Leke Abejide is compassionate, humble, focused, committed, dependable and does not turn back on his promises, saying that the development the people seeks will be a thing of the past when he emerge as the next Governor of Kogi State.
Speaking on behalf of stakeholders from the Eastern Senatorial District, a Former House of Assembly Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for Ankpa II State Constituency in the 2023 Elections, Hon. Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi, appreciated Baba Asaje and other Executives of the Group for their doggedness towards spreading the good news of Hon. Leke to all and sundry.
Hon. Atumeyi said the people of the Eastern Senatorial District are more concerned about good governance, visionary and a leader with the interest of others at heart, stressing that Hon. Leke posses such virtues hence the need for all to rally round him.

The Grassroots political leader with good track records of commitment to Political activities spanning over years, assured that he will mobilize the people of the Eastern flanks to vote for Hon. Leke Abejide in the coming elections. .
While speaking on behalf of the people of the Western Senatorial District, Hon. Owokujo Sunday, said Leke’s commitment to putting smiles on the faces of the people has been unprecedented, stressing that the people of the West have no doubt in his capacity to serve Kogites well if elected Governor.
Hon. Owokujo noted that the ADC Governorship Flag bearer has shown commitment at contributing his quota to the progress of the young ones through the payment of their WAEC/NECO fees in the West, assuring that he will extend such gesture to the entire State in no distant time.
He said they are resolute in the District at voting massively for their son – Hon. Leke Abejide, in view of the various positive impact he made in the lives of the people of the Area.

Similarly, those from the Central Senatorial District of the State said the assignment of having Leke as the next Governor of the State is a task that must be done, assuring that they are a people of integrity.
They said moving the State to the next level was important, stressing that they will work for the interest of Hon. Leke and called for the contributions of all to achieve the set goal.
They said they believe in equity and natural justice, explaining that since the East and Central have produced Governors, it was time for the West to be allowed to produce the next State Governor.
They noted that politics is a game of number and not personalities, urging Leke Abejide to consult with those that will be able to increase the number of supporters across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.
