Some Members of the People’s Democratic Party – PDP has decamped into the All Progressives Congress – APC in Ward 07 in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Receiving the decampee, the Senior Special Assistant on Voter’s Education and Registration (West) to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Hon. Eunice Olukomogbon, welcomed them into the fold of the APC, describing the Party as a big family.
She commended them for taking the bold step of joining the progressives family, stressing that they will be carried along in the scheme of things.
HON. Eunice Olukomogbon pointed out that the State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello CON, has created an enabling environment for all to display their leadership ability, describing the Governor as a man with the heart of gold.
The SSA stressed that the choice of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as the Party’s Candidate for the November Governorship Election in the State will ensure a continuation of the developmental strides of Governor Bello, calling on all Kogites to rally round him to ensure his victory.
She appreciated the State Commissioner for Financial, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Arisu Idris Asiwaju and all the Leaders of the Party in Yagba for ensuring oneness among all Party Members in the Area.
Speaking, a one PDP House of Assembly Aspirant in the Area, Hon. Akindele Ayun, who led the decampee into the APC in Ward 07, Yagba East, appreciated stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress for accepting them into the Party.
Hon. Akindele pointed out that their decision to join the Party was borne out their desire to contribute their quota to the Party’s Victory in the coming Governorship Election in the State.
He expressed their readiness to canvass support for the Candidates of the APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo and Comr. Joel Oyibo Salifu for the November 11th Governorship Election, adding that they will work with the existing principles of the APC and ensure the Party’s victory.
Also on ground to receive the new Members of the APC include; the Chairman of Yagba East Local Government Area, Abdulrasaq Asiru, Hon. Kehinde Atteh Yagba East APC Chairman, Mr. Ola Oluwu Ward 07 Party Chairman, Hon. Oshabole Ward 07 Councilor, Hon Arogundade Dare Supervisor For Works, among other APC Party Stakeholders.
