KOGI GUBER: Mubarak Rejects Pronouncement, Directs Legal Team to Appeal FHC Judgment

The Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the 2023 Governorship Election in Kogi State, Musa Mubarak Saliu, has rejected the pronouncement of a Federal High Court in Abuja that gave the mandate of the Party to Mallam Hassan Baiwa.

In a statement by Adejo Darlington Uhiene, Spokesperson to Alhaji Mubarak Musa Saliu, explained that the needful have been done by the Party’s Candidate by directing his Legal Team to immediately appeal the judgment.

He called on Members of the Party across the three Senatorial Districts of the State to remain calm, assuring that the mandate will be reclaimed in no distant time.

“We greet you our teaming supporters and adherent party faithfuls from Kogi State. Recall that there was a court pronouncement that gave the mandate of our great party, NNPP to Mallam Hassan Baiwa

“We wish to state without mincing words that we reject the pronouncement in it’s entirety and as law abiding Citizen, we have consequently done the needful by directing our LEGAL TEAM to appeal the judgment immediately

“We are aware of the concern and inconveniences that this may have occasioned you but we entreat you to remain steadfast and continue with your message of goodwill to Kogites as we have applied all legal means to correct this anomaly

“Alhaji Mubarak remain the candidate recognized by the Party and INEC and the position of the Party on the choice of its Candidate stands supreme

“Our campaign strategies and planning are intact, nothing has changed. We shall be carry everyone along as new developments continue to trickle out

“Finally I beseech all of us to ignore the unfounded rumors and continue to be law abiding as we continue to propagate our robust and ambitious manifesto to taking Kogi State to its highest potentials

“Thank you and God Bless you all”.

Recall that a Federal High Court in Abuja, ousted Musa Mubarak as the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)’s candidate for the Kogi State Governorship Election, slated for November 11th, 2023, a development Mubarak said will soon be overturned in his favour and in the interest of the people of the State.
