Toto LG Chair mourns Prominent Toto Traditional ruler, Gomo Babye who passed on at 96

The death of the First class traditional ruler of Gade Chiefdom in Gadabuke Development Area of Toto Local Government, Alhaji Aliyu Daudu has been announced.

The late monarch who died on Monday at the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi after a protracted illness, was born in Gwargwada, Gadabuke district of the old Nasarawa division in the then Benue/Nasarawa province of the defunct Northern Region.

The late Alhaji Aliyu Daudu, who was born in 1923 will be buried today Tuesday at his country home New Gwargwada, Gadabuke Development Area.

The Executive Chairman Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Honourable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has expressed shock over the passage of the first class traditional ruler, the Gomo Babye of Gadabuke Development Area, HRH. Alhaji Aliyu Daudu

Hon Tashas said the late Gomo Babye would be remembered for his fatherly role and commitment to the development of Gade Nation, people of Gadabuke District and Toto LG as a whole.

A statement from Toto LGC Secretariat and signed by his Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on Media and Communications, Yahaya Idris Toto, said the council boss described the passing on of the Gade monarch as painful at a time when his advice and guidance were needed by Gade Nation and people of Toto LG

Tashas maintained that late Gomo Babye laid a solid foundation for the modern Gadabuke District, peace and development as enjoyed by Gade people.

“Late Gomo Babye, contributed immensely to the development of his land, and it is open for all to see.”the Chairman said.

While condoling with Gade Nation, people of Gadabuke district and entire Toto LG, Hon Tashas extends his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late royal father.

According to him, he has taken solace in the exemplary life that he lived and the legacies that he bequest to generations yet unborn.

“Late Gomo Babye was a father to all. He was a peace loving man, who did his best to make his people happy. I wish to commiserate with the government and the people of Toto LG, particularly the family and subjects of late Gomo Babye , over this great and irreparable loss.”

Hon Tashas also prayed God for the repose of the soul of the late royal father.

The Chairman has invited his cabinet members, stakeholders and people of Toto LG to join him for late Gomo Babye’s interment slated for Tuesday
