Speaker Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi of Nasarawa State House of Assembly was in Gadabuke town of Toto local government area, Saturday, to condole people and family members of late Gomo Babye, demised paramount ruler of Gade people.
During the visit, the Honourable Speaker was at the residence where he met the people of Gadabuke Development Area and the families of the late Baba Daudu, the Gomo Babye, and enjoined them to always imbibe spirit of unity and peace which were known attributes of the late Baba Daudu.
“Baba has gone, that is the will of God. There is a time to born and there is time to die. Alhamdulillah, Baba died as a man of honour, integrity and respect. Let’s therefore continue to pray for him to have eternal rest. May Allah bless what he left behind and may his good work be emulated,” the Speaker further stressed.
“As for me, I might not be from any ruling family in my domain, but I know the type of crisis that always surround some ruling houses in a situation like this. It is on this note that I am calling on the people to please unite and embrace peace, candour and exercise high sense of responsibility for the benefit of all. Note that it’s only God’s will that always manifest, because He gives and takes power.”
“We have tested the negative effect of crisis in this area in the past. We will not and we should not give room whatsoever for anything that will drow us back in our development efforts and peaceful coexistence. We must thank God that we have a Governor who has passion for our people, in the person of Engr. Abdullahi Sule,” Balarabe Abdullahi further remarked.
