In a show support and concern for the progress of their home State, Egbira People in Bayelsa State has organized a Special Prayer Session for Ahmed Usman Ododo and Joel Salifu Oyibo, the Governorship and Deputy Governorship Candidates of the All Progressives Congress APC, to enable them emerge in the November 11th 2023 Election in the State.
The Islamic Prayer Session was held on Sunday, 20th August 2023 at Baybrigde Kpansia, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Speaking after the prayer Session, the Chairman, Ebira People Association (EPA) who doubles as the Leader of all Egbira Association both Ebira Opete and Egbura Koton people in Bayelsa State, Comr. Hassan Audu, described prayer as two-edged sword that is needed in all human endeavour.
Comr. Audu noted that prayer was essential for man to achieve good success in life hence the need to gather the Egbiras in Bayelsa State to pray for Ododo and Oyibo to succeed in the coming Governorship race in Kogi State.
Though in the diaspora, he said they are concerned about the progress and development of their home State – Kogi, hence their resolve to contribute their quota as the State drives into another political season.

Comr. Hassan Audu enjoined the people of the State to shun ethnic and other natural differences and resolve to work for Ahmed Usman Ododo, a man he said will build on the transformational leadership style of the incumbent Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello.
The ODEYIANI of Anebira in Bayelsa State, Chief Momohjimoh Adubazi and the AKUMAGU of Egbura Koto, Chief Musa Haruna, in their remarks, declares their support for Ododo, the APC Governorship Candidate in Kogi State, calling on all and sundry to vote for him for more dividends of democracy.
They enjoined the people to remain peaceful in their activities, and prayed to God to grant the APC Candidates success in the Governorship Election slated for 11th November 2023.
