In every society there are motivators and change agents who propel social mobilization towards achieving goals. The emergence of Ododo is so timely, sacrosanct and fundamental in the survival mechanism of Kogi State for continued growth and consolidation.
His victory will return the State to citizen ownership of power instead of tribal command for neo-colonialism by certain ethnic group who supposedly have equal opportunities and moral belongings.
Hon. Ododo is a rare gem and hidden golden fish in the ocean of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration who have successfully distinguished himself for service delivery through community reengineering for development.
Ododo in his philanthropic gesture has chains of beneficiaries from his endowment funds for the vulnerable, people living with disabilities, orphans, widows, Artisans, out-of-school children and indeed the market women.
The upcoming election as I usually say, has gone beyond party line, ethnic correlation, religion and gender sentiments. It is an ample opportunity for Kogites to reaffirm the State on the map of Nigeria as a land of equal opportunity, industrial hub, Human Capital Development and of course superb security architecture for the safety of lives and property of all Kogites and Nigerians in general.
The role model and passionate consideration of other ethnic sister tribes in appointment by his Excellency, GYB is an impetus and evidence that the State stands on the tripod of the three Senatorial Zones for equity, justice and fair representation. Talk of distribution of developmental projects across the zones, GYB has no rival and resemblance as at today in Kogi State. On institutional establishments, the three senatorial zones has a university each which was a taboo and abomination in the 20 years previous regime of our big brothers.
These Projects needs consolidation and continuity for the future of our children’s children which is why Ododo-Oyibo joint ticket is a must win election under fair, transparent and peaceful atmosphere. I could see some non-visionary candidates aspiring to be the Governor of the State. They are predominantly sadist and harbor hatred of which if opportunities come their way, may GOD FORBID could dismantle all these beautiful structures and thereby take Kogi State below sea levels.
The State has been established on a solid rock of progress, development, neighborliness and peaceful co-existence. We should therefore team together and vote en-masse for the poor to breathe.
I by this write-up call on all the good people of Kogi State to shun ethnic bigotry, religious sentiments, unwarranted violence and focus on how we can win the upcoming election for Ododo-Oyibo joint ticket.
Furthermore in the significance of the election is adoption of a class teacher as the Deputy Governor, this is a profession that was erroneously ignored and despised by several candidates running for Governorship election in the State, but Hon. Ododo in his wisdom acknowledged teaching as a noble and respectable Profession, being a knowledge based institution that is so strategic to Nation building.
Teaching at both Local and State Government levels carries almost two third of votes to elect a Governor. It is a question of asking Teachers and Students in the State to take their destiny in their hands. This opportunity is very rare which I think will not happen so soon again in years to come. I therefore call on schools in both Local and State levels to mobilize votes as much as possible to fulfill destiny come November 11, 2023.
This is the first time a core civil servant will be part of government, therefore give your vote and see the difference. Power is going back to the people at the grassroots. Kogi is our State and we will salvage it together.
