A foremost Right Activist in Nigeria, Her Excellency, Dorothy Nuhu Aken’Ova has hailed the Presidential Tribunal for upholding the principle of fairness and Justice in the electoral process of Nigeria.
Dorothy who gave the commendation while reacting to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory at the Tribunal said it was the demonstration of the credibility of the Nigerian judicial system.
She expressed believe that President Tinubu’s victory will serve as a catalyst for positive change in the Country.
Dorothy Aken’Ova commended the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal for delivering the verdict on President Tinubu’s victory and expressed hope that the decision will pave the way for a new chapter of progress and development in Nigeria.
She hopes that the judicial affirmation will invigorate President Tinubu and his cabinet to pursue economic growth, social development and improved governance.
Dorothy acknowledges that there may be those who are disappointed with the outcome of the tribunal’s ruling, calling on such individuals to channel their grievances through lawful and peaceful means such as appeals within the legal framework.
She emphasized the importance of respecting the democratic process and allowing the judiciary to carry out its role without interference.
Dorothy urges the government to prioritize issues such as poverty eradication, improvement in the Education sector, healthcare and security which are pressing concerns in Nigeria.
Furthermore, Her Excellency Dorothy Nuhu Aken’Ova calls on all Nigerians to put a stop to divisive utterances capable of causing harm to the Country’s democracy.
She called on all to unite and work for the betterment of the Nation regardless of political affiliations.
