The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Dr. Mary Alile Idele (CAPACITY) has congratulated Nasir Gawuna, Governorship Candidate of the APC who has been declared winner of the Kano State Governorship Election by the Kano State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
Reacting to the Tribunal Victory of the APC in Kano State, the Party’s National Women Leader described it as a victory for the Party as a whole and a fresh hope given to the people of Kano State.
She commended the Judiciary for reviving the trust of Nigerians in the Country’s Judicial System and also appreciated them for their diligence at upholding the tenets of the rule of law.
Dr. Mary, while congratulating the new Kano State Governor, Nasir Gawuna on his tribunal victory, described him as a man of many parts who is committed to transforming the State for the good of the people.
The APC National Women Leader prayed to God to see him through in the discharge of his responsibilities to the people of Kano State, APC and Nigerians.
The Kano State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on Wednesday, 20th September 2023, sacked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP and declared the candidate of the APC, Nasiru Gawuna, winner of the March 18th Governorship poll.
The Reading of the judgment was transmitted virtually via Zoom, a teleconference service as the panel members were not physically in court.
The ruling came weeks after lawyers of both parties made their closing arguments on behalf of their clients on 21st August.
