Engr. Bashir Gegu empowers 50 Koton-karfe women groups

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, and Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Hon (Engineer) Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu has empowered fifty women (50) group from Koton-karfe town with one million naira (1000,000).

There has been reports of his humanitarian engagement to the women and youths across Kogi local government area and beyond, motorcycles and other valuables items shared among the people.

The Commissioner announced the empowerment during an interactive session with Hajiya Maimunat Iyami Tatu and her women group held at Koton-karfe, Kogi local government headquarters on Thursday.

He said women are major participants in electioneering process and saw good reason to support them to be able to fend for themselves and cater for their love ones.

According to him, the well designed and coordinated empowerment programme was inline with the new direction administration headed by Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.

The Commissioner thanked Kogi LG women for supporting APC and for their refusal to join the opposition parties in the area.

“We in the APC are people with conscience, we regard our women and youths very well, hence the empowerment.”

“Come out en mass on November 11 to vote APC and Ododo. You’re also advised to reject anyone who come here with another slogan different from that of APC.”

Reacting to the recent empowerment, Hajiya Maimunat Iyamin Tatu described the Solid Minerals largesse as first of its kind in Kogi LG.

The renowned woman politician said Engr. Bashir Gegu’s name ring like a bell in all the nook and crannies of Kogi LG.

Iyami appreciated the Commissioner for empowering some of women groups and prayed for the success of Governor Yahaya Bello and Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu
