Kogi LG graded traditional rulers says no regret supporting Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration

The forum of traditional rulers especially the graded chiefs from Kogi local government are of the State, has congratulated the newly elected Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The Forum led by Ohinoyi of Okofi, HRH. Alhaji Yunusa Haruna expressed joys that the man they all prayed and supported, the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate and Governor -Elect,, Ahmed Usman Ododo, have emerged with the power of the Almighty Allah during the just concluded election held on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
The traditional rulers noted that the victory of APC will benefits the people of Kogi LG more and hence the need to rally support for the incoming administration to be headed by Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The traditional rulers who spoke through the Ohinoyi of Okofi, HRH. Alhaji Yunusa Haruna said the people of their domains have never regretted supporting Governor Yahaya Bello led administration and pledged to render same support to the incoming administration.
The traditional rulers said they were in Gegu to congratulate the new governor elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo and assured of their support to enable him succeed when he assume office after the expiration of present governor‘s tenure.
They equally appreciated their son and serving Commissioner in the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Muhammed Bashir Gegu for his inclusive leadership he has provided over the years.
The graded chiefs also used the medium to offered special prayers for protection, success and sound health of the Commissioner Gegu
Responding, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Muhammed Bashir Gegu thanked the royal fathers their roles and fatherly advises, which has led to the success of his office and promised never to let them down.
Commissioner Gegu stated that their support in the just concluded governorship election which produced Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo of the ruling All progressive Congress, APC, would go along way towards attracting more democratic dividends in the area.
The solid minerals commissioner assured more chiefs will be graded as soon as possible, even as he solicited for their continued support to the incoming administration.
