Kogi State Chairman Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) hails Gov Ododo on Appeal court victory

Kogi state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Elder Engr. Clement Ohida, has on behalf of the senior citizens congratulated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, his deputy, comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo and the people of the state on the Verdict of the Court of Appeal which reaffirmed the Tribunal ruling.

In a felicitation message which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital, Engr Clement Ohida described the Court of Appeal ruling which went in favour of the governor as a victory for democracy, rule of law, civil servants and retirees of the state.

According to Engr Clement Ohida, since Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo took over the mantle of the political leadership of the state, he has showed exemplary leadership in the pursuit of deepening democracy, providing good governance through the prompt payment of worker’s salary, payment of monthly pension and spreading of infrastructural development in every nooks and crannies of the state.

Kogi state boss of Pensioners, explained that the Court of Appeal judgement has re-validated the Governor’s victory at the November 11,2023, urging the governor to be magnanimous in victory in providing a space for his rivals to bring their innovations and ideas to bear to move the state to an eldorado of peace, unity and progress.

Engr. Clement Ohida equally tasked the closers in the legal battle to bury their hatchets, embrace the Ododo led administration in the spirit of good sportsmanship has a necessary proviso for the state and its citizens to enjoy the benefits of good governance and democracy.
