This is contained in a statement issued by Okun Development Association (ODA). The statement which was signed by the President General of the Association, Ambassador Akenson Rotimi and made available to newsmen in Lokoja said it. reorganised the undeniable prevalence of hunger across the nation leading to demonstration and protest for a change.
The statement however condemned the violence, killings and destruction of public infrastructure during the protest.
According to the statement, the Association urges government to continue to engage more effectively with citizens to help them understand the ongoing reforms by the Federal Government.
The statement also urges government to accelerate it’s economic development programme aimed at uplifting the living conditions of Nigerians.
It added that government should also ensure that dividends of democracy are deliver to the people in a more practical terms and create more productive avenue for economic engagement particularly for Nigerian youths
