Women of Chapel of Freedom Church barracks branch, Lokoja, on Sunday celebrated her annual Mother day, It is a moment that women showcase their human knowledge and the special characters they are made off.

It also featured special ministration, thanksgivings, drama presentation.

The celebration of this year’s has it, theme: In Times Like This” is essential and apt considering the famine or scarcity of resources that have subjected the citizens to seek for survival., It was also moment that adherents of Jesus Christ should to trust in ,to draw closer to God.

In an address on the auspicious occasion, the Sisters leader, deacon Deborah Ichaba explained that it was a day set aside by the church [Women] to praise, honour , glorified and appreciate God Almighty for His love and kindness over them and their families.

Deacon Deborah Ichaba , emphasized that the topic for this year’s, 2024 Sisters day celebration which is “In Times Like This, this is the time to draw closer to God, handover every facet of your life to God , as timely judging from the nagging experiences and hard challenges the world, country, state are currently passing through.

She stressed that these identified nadir of human challenges, Deacon Deborah Ichaba, admonished worshipers to have strong Faith in God having the powers to rescue humanity from these bundle of problems.

“However in God there is a way of escape out of every challenge we face in life, urging christians to develop the desire to receive ministrations that will cause positive changes in their lives, Families, and the body of Christ”.

Deacon Deborah Ichaba, avail herself with the opportunity to acknowledged the unquantifiable, mentorship and motherly role of Mrs Reverend Margaret John Ibenu for her positive disposition towards bringing women nearer to their God through her guardian.

In her sermon, Reverend Margaret John Ibenu, read from the holy book of Matthew 24:3:15, 11, Timothy,3 urged adherents of Jesus Christ to have understanding of the Time to enable them surmount the challenges of the present Time.

According to her, economic retardation, sound of wars, kingdom against kingdom, country against country lack of control, disobedience to God’s precepts, open sins and adultery are scriptural and a sign of the coming of Jesus Christ.

To overcome these challenges, Reverend Margaret Ibenu, admonished worshipers to fear not, talk less, self-discipline, work on one faith by remaining close to the words of God, pray more, stating that, it is moment of women, men, children to pray for God’s intervention in the current crises bedeviling mankind.
