Odunlade Jonathan Adekola, born on December 31, 1976, is a Nigerian actor, vocalist, filmmaker, producer, and film director of notable repute.

Odunlade Adekola rose to fame with his starring role in Ishola Durojaye’s 2003 movie, Asiri Gomina Wa, and has since maintained a successful acting career in Nollywood. Furthermore, he founded and leads Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP) as its CEO.

Born and raised in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Adekola hails from Otun Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Odunlade Adekola commenced his educational journey at St. John’s Primary School and subsequently attended St. Peter’s College in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where he successfully obtained the West African School Certificate Examination. He then pursued a diploma certificate at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY). Furthermore, Odunlade advanced his academic pursuits, culminating in the conferment of a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Lagos in May 2018.

Since joining the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts practitioners in 1996, Odunlade Adekola has had a prolific career in Nollywood, starring in, scripting, producing, and directing numerous films.

He experienced a remarkable day, highlighted by his official launch as the company’s Brand Ambassador at their Lagos-based Ikeja office, further cementing his distinguished affiliations with esteemed entities such as Goldberg beer and Globacom Telecommunications.

Odunlade Adekola’s parents are Deaconess Adekola and Pastor Jimoh Odunlade. Pastor B.A. Adekola, his father, holds a distinguished position within the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Abeokuta, Ogun state, having advanced from choirmaster to pastoral duties. Both parents, originating from Ekiti, Nigeria, are deeply committed to their spiritual roles.

He tied the knot with Ruth Adekola in 2003 and has since become a father of five.
