Independence: Nasarawa Speaker Commends Founding Fathers’ Efforts, Urges Nigerians to Remain Hopeful

On the 64th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence and the 28th anniversary of Nasarawa State, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, praises Nigerians for their continued patience, loyalty, understanding, and support towards the government.

The Speaker commemorated this year’s independence celebration by congratulating citizens and urging them to maintain hope in the face of numerous challenges, emphasizing that such challenges are ultimately resolvable.

The Speaker, in a statement issued today in Lafia and signed by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, acknowledged the nation’s numerous challenges, including insecurity, economic difficulties, and widespread hardship, while emphasizing that there is substantial reason for future optimism and confidence that these issues will be resolved.

Speaker Jatau, as quoted in the statement, praised the unrelenting efforts of the founding fathers, assuring that their accomplishments will remain significant.

According to him, the nation’s advancements were made possible by Nigerians’ unwavering loyalty, patience, understanding, and consistent support for previous and current administrations.

The Speaker extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigerians on the 64th anniversary and to Nasarawa State citizens on their 28th, expressing wishes for a more productive and fulfilling future, while acknowledging that despite obstacles, notable advancements have been achieved since inception, as both the State and Country have demonstrated continuous progress.

” I want to appreciate our founding fathers for ensuring that we got independence in the country.

” Since we got independence in the country, so far so good, the country is progressing and is moving forward despite our challenges, we are not stagnant as a nation and as a state” the statement quotes the Speaker as saying.

On the occasion of Independence, the Speaker called upon Nigerians to honor the nation’s founding fathers by reflecting on their sacrifices and striving to make meaningful contributions to the country’s progress, thereby validating their labors.

The Speaker appealed to Nigerians to continue offering prayers for the country’s unity, peace, progress, and development, especially to surmount the security, economic, and hardship challenges facing the nation.

He urged the state’s residents and Nigerians at large to extend their support to President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule, and other leaders across all levels to ensure their success.

” I want to call on Nigerians to continue to pray and support President Bola Tinubu, His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other leaders to succeed.

The Speaker encouraged the people of the state and all Nigerians to maintain lawfulness, defer to constituted authorities, and cultivate peaceful relationships with one another to support thriving development.
