In anticipation of the forthcoming 2024 council elections in Kogi state, scheduled to kick off across wards in the coming days, the 11 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi Local Government Area have assured Engr Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu’s leadership of an extraordinary voting outcome.
The Local Government Party chairman, Hon Abubakar Sadiq Onah, relayed the unanimous declaration of the 11 ward chairmen to the New Media Campaign Committee during their Wednesday meeting.
Hon. Onah, speaking for the ward chairmen, pledged to secure a record-breaking majority of votes for the party candidates, citing their capacity and competence to perform admirably.
“There is no doubt that the APC will win the forthcoming council elections but we want Kogi LGA votes to be more than we have ever recorded in any of the past elections.
“I have always had the idea that Kogi LGA, should wear a good look at all times. I’m happy to be a part of a government that is turning around Kogi LGA for a better way through the Leadership of Engr Bashir Gegu who has facilitated numerous projects to the Local Government, ”he averred.
Hon Onah reemphasized the government’s resolve to foster a better life for the people of the Local Government and the state, while exhorting Kogi LGA voters to choose APC in the October 19, 2024 polls.
