The International Women Power Conference 2024 honored Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile, National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, with the Global Leading Women Award of the Year. The conference, themed The Resilient Woman, was held on October 25th at ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, recognizing the resilience and achievements of women through the gathering of influential leaders, advocates, and professionals.
Dr. Alile received a prestigious award recognizing her exceptional commitment to empowering women and advocating for gender equality. In her absence, Erica Seki Jie, Special Adviser on Diaspora Matters, accepted the honor on her behalf. Through Jie’s speech, Dr. Alile expressed her sincere appreciation for the recognition and restated her unwavering commitment to advancing women’s rights and promoting gender parity.
