….As Royal Fathers commend Balarabe for introducing zoning system
Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, chairs the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for Toto Local Government Area, which launched its campaign for the November 2, 2024 local elections.
The flag-off ceremony, held at Central Primary School Umaisha on Thursday, was well attended, bringing together prominent party elders, members, and supporters to show solidarity and drum up support for the party and its candidates in the forthcoming LG election.
Balarabe Abdullahi, Chairman of the Campaign Council, addressed the vast crowd, expressing gratitude to the people of Umaisha for their overwhelming attendance and warm welcome to accorded visitors.
Balarabe Abdullahi, Immediate Past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly and current Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, urged the residents to demonstrate similar solidarity in Saturday’s election by casting their votes en masse for all APC candidates.
” Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration has made significant strides in enhancing the lives of state residents and requires sustained backing to deliver additional benefits; as such, Saturday’s election presents an opportunity to solidify gains by electing APC Chairmen and Councilors.”
“Balarabe Abdullahi expressed confidence that the Governor’s statewide initiatives will yield a resounding APC victory.”
“Toto LG remains a stronghold of APC and will continue to be, achieving success by the divine grace.”

He urged APC members to promote peace, focus on issue-driven campaigns, and strive for success, while also discussing the inception of zoning in Toto LG area, its positive impact, and the effectiveness of this zoning strategy.
“Zoning has progressed significantly, is now firmly instituted, and our population is recognizing its validity, as seen in Umaisha and Gadabuke districts’ decision not to nominate Chairmanship candidates, respecting the zoning allocations.”
Alhaji Yahaya Ibrahim Osada, co-chairman of the compaign Council, Director General of the campaign council, Usman Adams, and APC Chairmanship candidate Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, among other speakers, expressed gratitude to the people of Umaisha for the warm reception and assured them that their trust in APC would not be betrayed if voted for in Saturday’s election.
A key moment at the event was the presentation of the party flag to Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, APC flag bearer for Toto LG Chairmanship. Additionally, the team visited His Royal Highness Alh. Usman Abdullahi, Ohimegye Opanda, at his Umaisha palace, receiving his blessing and encouragement to fulfill campaign commitments, while applauding former Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi’s zoning initiative.
From Umaisha Development Area, the team moved to Gadabuke, the Headquarters of Gadabuke Development Area for the rally where they visited Gomo Babye HRH Alh Aminu Suleiman for his royal blessings where the traditional ruler appreciated the former Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi for initiating the zoning saying it has eased administration, bring peace and aided development in the area.
The team then moved to the rally ground to canvass support for the party candidates.
From Gadabuke to Toto town for grand finale at Central Pilot Primary School where the Campaign Council Chairman Balarabe Abdullahi spoke extensively on the need for the people to vote Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya and all other APC Councilors.
The team was earlier at the palace of Ohinoyi Ogye HRH Alh Muhammed Umar Azaki who blessed the team and advised the APC Chairmanship candidate to neutral, carried everyone along and beware of hypocrites if elected.
He commended the effort of the former Speaker for initiating the zoning and other good things he is doing for the people of the area and urged him not to be distracted as God will always stand by him.
