The Atta Igala, His Royal Majesty Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, declared that any individual from Igala extraction and beyond who showcases expertise, loyalty, and community-driven initiatives will be honored by the keepers of Igala cultural heritage.
The Igala Kingdom’s paramount ruler made this statement on Saturday at his Idah palace during the investiture of Alhaji (Chief) Yaqub Ene-ojima as the newly appointed Agenyi Atta.
While praising the exemplary contributions of the newly titled individual to the Igala nation, his community, and Nigeria, he invited other altruistic individuals to follow suit and make their own meaningful contributions.
He pointed out that an individual’s success is best evaluated by their impact on humanity, community, and the nation as a whole, encouraging the new Agenyi Atta to maintain this momentum.
The ceremony’s crowning moments were the coronation and reception, which brought together a considerable number of high-profile dignitaries from the Igala nation and further afield to acknowledge the new title holder.
Agenyi Atta, the new appointment, is a seasoned administrator and civil servant with a strong background in community leadership and notable philanthropic contributions beyond his area.
