…As Nasarawa State Revenue Board Holds Dinner/Award Night 2024

Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has received another award for his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the State.

, stated that the award recognizes the Speaker’s exceptional contributions and support to the executive, which have significantly enhanced the state’s internally generated revenue.

Muhammad Ubandoma noted that the Speaker and the State Assembly’s endeavors have greatly bolstered the State’s revenue base, thus deserving recognition.

In his keynote address, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, commended the Chairman of the State Revenue Board for making the state proud by being at the top among revenue-generating states in the federation and urged him to sustain the tempo.

According to the Speaker, the legislation enacted by the assembly granting the board autonomy has continued to produce positive outcomes.

He gave an assurance that he would sustain his support for the board in executing its functions, ultimately empowering Nasarawa to match states such as Lagos in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) performance.

Chairman of the Board, Ahmad Yakubu stated that the occasion serves as an expression of gratitude to God for the accomplishments achieved thus far by the board, while also acknowledging and rewarding those individuals whose contributions facilitated the board’s attainment of its recorded successes.

Ahmad Yakubu took time to list some of the achievements recorded by the board from inception to date.

The event, which took place at Ta’al Conference Hotel Lafia, was attended by the State Chief Judge, a Member of the House of Assembly representing Lafia Central, Hon. Solomon Akwashiki, among others.
