Kemi Badenoch, UK Party Leader, says she no longer believes in God

Kemi Badenoch, the UK Conservative Party leader, recently revealed in a podcast that she has stopped believing in God, now identifying as agnostic and a “cultural Christian.” Badenoch stated, “I don’t believe in God anymore… What matters is what they do with the belief or lack of it”.

She emphasized that her shift from strong religious beliefs to agnosticism reflects a personal evolution rather than a rejection of moral values associated with faith.

Kemi Badenoch describes herself as a “cultural Christian”, indicating that she identifies with Christian values and traditions without necessarily adhering to the faith in a personal or doctrinal sense.

This term often refers to individuals who appreciate the cultural aspects of Christianity, such as moral teachings and community practices, while being agnostic or non-religious in belief. Badenoch’s stance reflects a broader trend where people engage with cultural heritage rather than strict religious adherence.
