Toto LG Chairman submits N5.012 billion 2025 budget for approval
….Says Security, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, and revenue enhancement are key focus areas
Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, has reaffirmed his dedication to honest, prudent, and accountable leadership. During a recent budget presentation to the legislative arm, he emphasized the importance of unity and teamwork in achieving effective service delivery and rapid development.
The Chairman revealed this while presenting the 2025 Application Bill worth over Five Billion Naira to the Legislative Council for consideration and approval at the Council’s Secretariat on Monday.
The budget, tagged “Budget of Redemption” by the Council Boss, will be financed through internal generated revenue with an estimated IGR of 43 million naira for the year, statutory allocation from the federal government of about 2.5 billion naira, and Value Added Tax of about 1.9 billion naira.
“Estimated to accrue to the local government council, over 5 billion Naira is budgeted for the year 2025.”
The Chairman noted that the budget provides for over 800 million in personnel costs, over 1.1 billion in capital expenditures, and more than 3 billion Naira for infrastructure investments.
“Today, I present the 2025 budget estimate of N5, 012,500,000,00 for Toto LG services, covering development, welfare, and human capital development from January to December 2025.”
Yahaya committed his administration to a results-driven leadership style that prioritizes people-centered policies and initiatives.
He said that his administration will be guided by principles centred on providing improved living standards and infrastructure.
Yahaya expressed his optimism about the area’s security, stating that if all stakeholders, including local security, traditional rulers, and security agents, are engaged in governance, the community will be secure and an investor-friendly environment will be ensured.
