The prestigious This Day Newspaper / Arise TV Network Governor of the Year Award is conferred upon His Excellency RT Hon Sheriff OBOREVWORI, Governor of Delta State, on Monday, 27th January 2025, with Chief Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu, Executive Director Project DESOPADEC, regarding the event as an endorsement for 2027.

In a momentous acknowledgment of exceptional governance and leadership, Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori was bestowed with the esteemed This Day Newspaper/Arise TV Network Best Governor Award. This honor, conferred by a reputable organization in recognition of his innovative achievements across various sectors, has received widespread acclaim, with many regarding it as a fitting endorsement for his potential reelection in 2027.

The Executive Director of Projects at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, is among those congratulating the governor on this impressive feat. Projects like the Beneku Bridge, the Ughelli-Asaba Expressway, the Orere Bridge, the Isheagu-Ewulu Road, the Okpanam-Ibusa Bypass, the Trans Warri Ode-Itsekiri Road, storm water drainage projects in various urban and sub-urban centres, a multiplicity of internal roads in various towns and cities and link roads in various rural and riverine communities also validate the conferment of Governor of the Year Award on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

the Delta State Health Contributory Insurance Scheme, which has provided affordable healthcare coverage to thousands of residents, including the vulnerable.
