A Coalition of Kuje area council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants has endorsed Hon Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo for the February, 21 2026 chairmanship election of Kuje Area.

Addressing newsmen in Kuje on Thursday, Dr Bulus Baba, who spoke on behalf of the other aspirants, said the coalition had after consultations with their supporters across the ten wards of the council, unanimously resolved to endorse Hon Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo as the chairmanship for February 21, 2027 election in the area council.

He said that 11 chairmanship aspirants, which he said belonged to the coalition has deemed it fit to step down for Hon Shekwolo, despite some of the aspirants had purchased nomination/expression of interest forms to contest for the chairmanship of the council.

He added that after intensive deliberation among the aspirants, it was discovered that, in order to ensure victory for the ruling APC during the February 21, 2026 election, there was the need to shelve their ambition and endorse Hon Shekwolo, whom they described as very competent to pilot affairs of Kuje area come February 21, 2026.

The coalition, however, said that Hon Shekwolo remained the right man for the job, which they also said they believe in his the capacity to bring rapid transformation across Kuje area council ans its environs.

They group, therefore, reiterated their commitment and passion in ensuring good governance in Kuje area council, saying they have collectively decided to agitate for inclusiveness and togetherness based on fairness, justice and equity for the good people of the council.

The coalition group also use the medium to call on all their supporters, party faithful and other members of the party to accept and embrace Hon Shekwolo so that he will emerge victorious at the polls.
