Toto LGC Chair, Yahaya seeks legislature’s approval to appoint 10 aides
Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Council of Nasarawa State, has sought legislative approval to appoint 10 Special Advisers to help fast-track the programmes and policies of his administration.
According to a statement from the Toto LGC secretariat on Monday, Yahaya communicated through a letter addressed to the council legislative Speaker, Rt. Hon Abdulhameed Ayizi-Mazi requests their approval for these appointments to assist his administration effectively.
“The purpose behind appointing these Special Advisers is to provide valuable counsel that will serve as impetus towards uplifting the standards of living of the people in Toto Local Government Area.”
This move is in line with Yahaya’s inclusive leadership approach aimed at fostering peace, unity, rapid development, security, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, and economic growth in the area.
The request for legislative approval is a procedural step to enable the executive chairman to officially appoint these aides who will support the administration’s objectives and enhance governance effectiveness in Toto LGA.
It would be recalled that, Yahaya led Toto LGC administration had last week submitted names of supervisors for screening.
