Today, we celebrate not just the birth of a state but the birth of a vision, a hope and a future. Kogi State, our dear Confluence of Opportunities stands tall at 34 years, blessed with abundant resources, diverse cultures and people filled with strength, resilience, and boundless potential.
As we mark this Anniversary, I, Hon. Munirat Bint Ibrahim, in my capacity as the Senior Special Assistant on Women Entrepreneurship II to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, wish to felicitate with His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, our Deputy Governor His Excellency, Comr. Joel Salifu Oyibo, the State Executive Council, our revered traditional rulers, and the good people of Kogi State on this remarkable occasion.
For 34 years, Kogi has remained a symbol of unity where the Igala, Ebira, Okun, Bassa, Nupe and every ethnic groups come together under one banner, building a State we can all proudly call home. We have weathered storms, we have faced challenges, but through it all, we have emerged stronger, more united, and more determined to shape a glorious tomorrow.
In my role as SSA on Women Entrepreneurs II, I see firsthand the creativity, the energy and the courage of our youths and entrepreneurs. Their innovations, small businesses and determination to succeed are the backbone of our economy and the hope of future generations. The State government under the leadership of His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo is committed to creating the enabling environment for businesses to thrive, jobs to be created and wealth to be distributed fairly among our people.
At 34, our task is not only to celebrate but to rededicate ourselves to the ideals of service, growth and development. We must embrace peace, unity, and love for one another, because together, there is no limit to what Kogi can achieve.
My prayer is that peace will reign in our land, wisdom will guide our leaders and prosperity will reach every home. May Kogi continue to shine as a land of opportunities and greatness.
