Delta Government Reaffirms Commitment to a Safer State
The Delta State Government has reiterated its determination to strengthen security across the state, announcing that the planned launch of the Delta State Security Trust Fund (DSSTF) will significantly boost its security architecture.
This assurance came during a working visit by the Board and Management of the DSSTF to the headquarters of Operation Delta Sweep (ODS) in Asaba on Friday.
Speaking during the visit, Chairman of the DSSTF, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, explained that the visit was to obtain firsthand information on the operations and challenges of ODS, with a view to fostering collaboration once the Trust Fund is formally launched in the coming weeks.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the DSSTF, Hon. Barr. Samuel Osasa, commended ODS for its proactive approach in safeguarding lives and property across the state.
He expressed confidence that the synergy between the DSSTF and ODS would further enhance security outcomes in Delta.
On his part, the Director General of Operation Delta Sweep, Hon. David Tonwe, outlined the agency’s operational needs and expressed optimism that the intervention of the DSSTF would usher in a more secure environment for all Deltans.
