APC chieftain, Anyanwu commends Tinubu, Kalu on realization of South-East Development Commission

Stalwart and former member of the National Executive Council (NEC), High Chief Nduka Anyanwu, has commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Honorable Benjamin Kalu for his unrelenting effort that saw the passage and assent of South East Development Commission (SEDC) into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Recall that the president had on Tuesday, signed into law the strategic bill aimed at bringing further development to the South East.
The bill was sponsored by the Deputy Speaker who represents Bende federal constituency of Abia State in the green chamber of the national Assembly, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu.
In a statement on Friday, Chief Anyanwu, the immediate-past Board chairman of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), noted that the presidential assent to the South East Development Commission was a clear affirmation of the genuine commitments of President Tinubu and Hon Ben Kalu in developing southeast zone through its people’s-oriented policies.
He described the enactment of the commission as best thing to happen to the southeast zone.
The party chieftain said: ” The South-East Development Commission, with fund allocation from the federation account, will see to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads, houses, and other infrastructural damages suffered by the zone as a result of the civil war.

“The commission will also tackle ecological problems and other challenges impeding the socio-economic and infrastructural development of states in the southeast zone”.
While earlier commending the sponsor of the South-East Development Commission bill, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu, Chief Anyanwu said the federal lawmaker has raised the bar of governance in the representation of Abia state and southeast at large in the national assembly.
He urged people of the southeast region to remain steadfast in their maximum support to the deputy speaker who he described as authentic democrat, and the APC led federal government in its efforts to provide dividends of democracy to every doorsteps of Nigerians.
Anyanwu also hailed the Governor of Imo State and Southeast Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Hope Uzodinma for his sterling leadership capacity which has endeared many to join to the party.
“The governor has taken imo to the highest pedestal of development through execution of completed gigantic projects and provisions of basic amenities to people of the state. I can attest to you that Uzodinma has equally shown inclusive leadership in current national assignment entrusted him by party leadership. And these capacities he demonstrated attracted many personalities at home and diaspora to join APC. That is why President Bola Tinubu-led administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the country is enjoying support of ndigbo.
The Convener of Oha’ndigbo Youth Worldwide used the medium to further admonish ndigbo to sustain their support and cooperation with APC led government, as the party remain the only route in actualizing our desire to govern the country.
