During the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) 2nd round table series at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, the APC National Chairman declared his backing for the occasion.
Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile, APC National Woman Leader, represented National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at the event, with themed ’64 Years of Independence, Inclusive Democracy, and Options for Special Seats for Women’, which gathered political leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss strengthening Nigeria’s democracy through gender inclusivity.
Nigeria’s 64-year post-independence advancements were scrutinized, with emphasis on overcoming obstacles and harnessing opportunities to foster inclusive democracy, specifically exploring allocated parliamentary seats for women to guarantee fair representation.
Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile Idele, National Women Leader of the APC, personified the event’s significance through her participation, lending strong support to the specially allocated roundtable seats, initiated by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, demonstrating IPAC’s continued pledge to enhance democracy and promote gender balance in Nigeria’s political environment.
