A delegation of newly appointed ward and local government assistants paid a thank-you visit to Chief Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi local government and Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, in appreciation of his efforts in securing their state government appointments.
Hon. Abubakar Onah, Chairman of Kogi LG APC, led his team in acknowledging Hon. Bashir Gegu’s outstanding leadership and inclusive policies, greatly contributing to the state’s development, and reaffirming their unwavering support and loyalty to Governor Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.
Commissioner Gegu received the delegation at his ancestral home in Gegu Beki, where they prayed for Governor Ahmed Usman and his appointees to succeed in their entrusted mandate.
In his remarks, Honourable Mohammad Abubakar Bashir Gegu, State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, expressed appreciation for the divine support and wisdom that has enabled them to serve their people with unwavering dedication.
He pointed out that leadership fundamentally involves providing service to the community, which in turn acts as a driving force for addressing unemployment and poverty, while cultivating a favorable environment for societal advancement.
Mr. Gegu encouraged the appointees to utilize their specialized knowledge, pointing out that Kogi LG’s targets are highly ambitious and failure to meet them will have consequences.
He appeals to them to offer their part, regardless of how little, in influencing societal development.
Bashir Gegu congratulated the appointees, urging them to represent Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo and APC’s interests and act as ambassadors within their units and wards.
